- If you are looking for food, you can find a summary of the food services here. If you are arriving to Austria on Sunday: Most of the shops are closed! There is a grocery store open at the Airport and bigger train stations (Hauptbanhof, Franz-Josefs Banhof). There is nothing opened in Maria Gugging (on campus) on Sunday. Please plan accordingly.

Getting from airport to Vienna is easiest with a regular S7 train, going in direction Wien Floridsdorf station, get off at Wien Mitte / Landstraße. There you have to switch to subway U4 (green line) in direction to Heiligenstadt (get off at Schwedenplatz in case of our extra shuttle on Monday). There you have to switch to a public bus 400 in direction Maria Gugging Lourdesgrotte or on work days to a bus 142 ISTA Shuttle. The whole trip should cost 5 EUR one way (I recommend downloading OEBB app and buying the ticket there, from Flughafen Wien to Schwedenplatz/Maria Gugging IST Austria). There is also a direct bus from Airport to Schwedenplatz, but it runs somewhat irregularly and costs about 17 EUR for roundtrip. Please avoid a City Airport Train (CAT) – it is sort of a tourist trap, unnecessary expensive and doing the same job as S7 train.
